Last week, we learned about the story of Jesus healing the blind man at Bethsaida (at both Rose Plaza and the North Grand Villas, we’re going through the entire book of Mark this year.) To get an idea of what it’s like to be blind, we played a game of “Pin the Band-Aid on the Sick Kid.” Hilarity ensued.
Out at the Rose Plaza, we also had a big water gun fight. We put Alka-Seltzer tablets on strings and tied those around our necks. The object was to get the tablets so wet that they foamed up and fell off the strings. If your tablet falls off, you’re out. I usually lose this game. For some reason, the kids like getting me wet. Anyway, here’s what we looked like when we finished:
It’s been a great summer. Only two weeks until school starts. Unbelievable.
