Giant Soccer

The weather has been way too nice this week for it to be the last week of February.  It’s starting to spoil me.  Yesterday at the North Grand Villas, we took advantage of the warmth and played a fun game of soccer with a giant inflatible soccer ball.

The advantages – it doesn’t hurt when you get nailed in the face.  2540 volunteer Josh and I enjoyed several good laughs when kids got cranked in the face and fell backward to the ground.  Also, the big soccer ball makes it easier for all the kids to get involved.

The disadvantages – the ball  very hard to dribble and kick accurately.  Plus it is made out of material and therefore gets extremely dusty, so a ball to the face will get dirt all over you.  But the fun was definitely worth it.

Not sure why Logan appears so disinterested in the above picture.  I think he was mad about not getting to be goalie yet.  Below are a few more action shots.

Fun stuff.
