It’s been a busy month or so, so much that I haven’t had the chance to blog much. Figured I post a couple of pictures of both apartments. We’ve had too many kids to count at both places the last several weeks. It’s been exciting, but has also made for some crazy times. Spring tends to give kids extra energy, I think. We get the kids after they’ve been couped up inside school all day. So it’s been quite the adventure. But more and more kids are being exposed to the gospel, which makes the craziness worth it.
Due to the crazy high wind last Thursday, we had to play some games inside, which is no small task with 25 kids. We played a fun toilet paper relay game – boys vs. girls. It makes a huge mess but gets lots of energy out of the kids (in theory, anyway)
This picture was taken with my phone yesterday, so its not high quality, but it gives you an idea of how crowded we’re getting in the community room at Cypress Creek. Word is getting out about our fun Bible Studies (or the free candy), so we’re running out of room. We’ve been going through the Old Testament this year, but are taking a detour this week to hear the Easter story. We painted empty white plastic eggs yesterday for a fun yet messy craft. I could tell yesterday that some of the kids had never really heard a lot of the details about Jesus’ death and resurrection. I told them it was the most important story in the history of the world. It’s why we do what we do at Mission 2540. I’m glad new kids are getting to hear it.
Keep us in your prayers. We’re having a blast!
