August brought a fun, wild, crazy and eventful summer to close. We passed out 130+ backpacks filled with school supplies, and helped the kids enjoy their final weeks of freedom before a new school year began. We wrapped up our month with our annual Choice Media Golf Scramble. We had 30 teams join us at Comanche Trail Golf Course for a great round of golf and raise money for all the great stuff we have going on. Check out the pictures below and and enjoy! Thanks to all who helped make this an incredibly successful summer, and one to remember for all our kids!
Cooling off with water balloons at Cathy’s Pointe
Jennifer’s husband Jake had one very important job this year at Cypress Creek. He obviously did a great job with it!
We have to meet outside most days at Spring Terrace. On those triple digit days, this is what the kids wanted to do more than anything else.
Two of our girls at Plum Creek who were very happy to get their new backpacks!
Hal is our newest volunteer at Glenwood. Lia has introduced him our exciting world of gluing and cutting and cleaning up messes. Obviously, he loves it! If you’d like to volunteer like Hal, let us know and we’ll get you plugged in, too.
Our kids at the North Grand Villas don’t actually love each other this much. We were really just playing a game to see how many kids we could fit inside one small hula hoop. But we can dream, can’t we?
Like they did last year, the John Mark Sunday School Class of St. Stephen UMC spent several hours filling all of our backpacks with supplies. They’re hardworking and lots of fun to have around! We’re so thankful for their help. It was a huge blessing.
We had 120 golfers help us have our most successful golf scramble yet on August 26. There’s not a better way to spend such an amazing summer.
